How Glazzz uses AI.

Glazzz uses AI to read wine labels and wine lists and to write suggestions for you. Here's exactly where, what it sees, and what it doesn't do — in line with the transparency rules of the EU Artificial Intelligence Act.

In one line: when Glazzz reads a label, scans a wine list, suggests a wine or a pairing, or describes your palate in words, that text is generated by AI — Anthropic's Claude — and it can be wrong. Your ratings, match scores and Taste Bud are calculated by our own rules, not by AI.

The AI we use

Glazzz uses Claude, a general-purpose AI model made by Anthropic, through Anthropic's commercial API. We built the features around it; Anthropic provides the model. We don't train or fine-tune any AI model on your data, and Anthropic does not use data sent through its commercial API to train its models.

Where AI is used

Pick for someone	When someone shops with your shared Taste Bud, picks the best match from the wines in front of them.	A summary of the shared taste profile, the candidate wines, and the first name shown on the shared link.
Food pairing	Suggests wines to go with a dish.	The dish you type, a summary of your taste, and the local weather for your city.
Your palate read	Describes your taste in plain words.	A summary of your taste profile, and your country/city if set.

The AI never receives your email address or password.

What is not AI

Your Taste Bud profile, your drinker archetype and levels, and the % match scores are calculated by Glazzz's own transparent rules from the reactions you give.
Nobody is scored, ranked or judged as a person. Glazzz makes no automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you — it only suggests wines.

Limits you should know

AI can misread a blurry label or invent a detail that sounds plausible. Always check the bottle, especially for allergens (such as sulphites) and alcohol content.
Suggestions are inspiration, not professional, health or dietary advice.
Glazzz only recommends wine to people who have confirmed they are of legal drinking age.

Staying in control

You decide what to scan, and you can delete any bottle — or your whole account — at any time.
Something looks wrong? Tell us with the feedback button in the app. A human (the founder) reads every message.
There's a daily limit on AI requests per account, to keep things fair and stop abuse.

Under the EU AI Act

Glazzz is a consumer app that uses a general-purpose AI model to generate text suggestions about wine. It is not a “high-risk” AI system under the EU Artificial Intelligence Act. We meet the Act's transparency duties by telling you clearly, here and in the app, when you're dealing with AI-generated content.
